The importance of marking the boundary by a surveyor became clear on a new knock down rebuild project we were engaged to complete. An existing retaining wall that had recently been completed by the neighbour was unfortunately encroaching our clients block by approx. 200mm and had to be removed. A costly mistake. We completed the fill side wall and ensured the alignment was correct! A lot of the older suburbs have this issue so be mindful.
